Electronic switching clocks and master clocks

The CTC family is a series of switching clocks and master clocks developed and manufactured by COSMO. Thanks to its extensive set of options and functions, the CTC family covers a wide range of applications.

The CTC clocks drive and synchronize analogue and digital slave clocks: time clocks, time registration terminals, computers, networks and switching signals for bells, lighting, heating and machine controls.

The CTCs are especially suitable in schools for the ringing of bells, in factories for switching of production processes and in offices for switching lighting, heating and synchronizing of PCs and slave clocks in the building.

CTC-04:

  • 4 individually programmable potential free contacts.
  • DCF-77 radio synchronisation (optional).
  • Easy programming and dialogue via an LCD screen with backlighting and return selection switches.
  • Automatic summer/winter time change.
  • 10 year program memory with built-in battery.
  • Serial channel: full duplex RS232 for programming the CTC via the PC or for synchronisation with the PC.

CTC-10:

  • 1 alternating -/+24V pulse output for synchronizing slave clocks.
  • DCF-77 radio synchronisation (optional).
  • Easy programming and dialogue via an LCD screen with backlighting and return selection switches.
  • Automatic summer/winter time change.
  • 10 year program memory with built-in battery.
  • Serial channel: full duplex RS232 for programming the CTC via the PC or for synchronisation with the PC.

CTC-14:

  • 1 alternating -/+24V pulse output for synchronizing slave clocks.
  • 4 individually programmable potential-free contacts.
  • DCF-77 radio synchronisation (optional).
  • Easy programming and dialogue via an LCD screen with backlighting and return selection switches.
  • Automatic summer/winter time change.
  • 10 year program memory with built-in battery.
  • Serial channel: full duplex RS232 for programming the CTC via the PC or for synchronisation with the PC.

With the help of a DCF receiver (optional) the CTC provides the exact time. This DCF signal is sent from the atomic clock at Mainflingen near Frankfurt by the special radio signal received by the CTC antenna. Changes from summer to winter time are thus made completely automatically.

The CTC clocks can be extended without limit by their "master-slave function": a CTC can function as a "master" to which the other CTC will be connected as slave. A great advantage of the CTC is that the "slave" clock needs not to be specifically mounted in the vicinity of the "master" clock, but that it also functions at a great distance.
